Commission Announcement
The Chicagoland Consortium, a consortium of 13 schools in Illinois led by Jim Kull of St. Charles East H.S. has commissioned a new work for winds, to be premiered May 2005. I’m thrilled with the commission and excited about the piece, which will be a convoluted blend of subways, roller coasters, carnivals, and edge-of-the-world fantasies, entitled Avenue X.
