Traveling this week in Texas, for a short residency at Tarleton State University, where Jonathan Hooper and his ensemble perform more Newman than anyone could possibly need: As the scent of spring rain…, The Rivers of Bowery, 1861, Uncle Sid, Avenue X, chamber works Lullaby for Munch in Hell and Practicing Joy, and possibly even the premiere of the first movement of the new flute & chamber wind Concertino. There’s even a chance of hearing sacred works Verses from Solomon, and Prelude on Schmücke Dich.
